NADEAU, Rita Levesque, 87, PRESQUE ISLE, July 26, 2011. Time and place for funeral mass and burial will be announced soon.

PRESQUE ISLE – Rita Levesque Nadeau, MamaRita, 87, passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2011. She was born to Rene and Alphena (Nadeau) Levesque, in Clair, New Brunswick, on February 20, 1924. In 1948, she married Joseph H. Nadeau Jr. of Fort Kent, and they raised their family in Presque Isle.

She is survived by her sister, Jacqueline Voisin; children: Joseph, Thomas and Jean; and grandchildren: Paul, Nicole, Bethany, Jessica, Adam and Andrew; a great-grandchild, Sam; as well as many nieces, nephews and many friends.

She will always be remembered for having a pot of tea, some cookies, a good story, and a front door always open for family and friends.

Contributions can be made to local food banks in memory of MamaRita’s love of cooking and her generous caring for others. The time and place for funeral mass and burial will be announced soon.
