Bicyclist injured in accident

PRESQUE ISLE — A man identified as Jonathan Rouse, 29, of Presque Isle, was injured July 30, as he rode his bicycle near the five-way intersection west of the State Street bridge.
The Presque Isle Police Department received a call via 9-1-1 dispatch reporting a car-bicycle accident at the State and Exchange streets intersection around 5:34 p.m., with injuries. Officer Danielle Levesque responded to investigate.
According to the police log, Rouse was on his bicycle and had a collision with a car operated by Connie Stevens, 61, of Presque Isle. Stevens was driving a 2007 Chevy Monte Carlo, turning south off Exchange St., when the accident occurred.
Rouse was transported by Crown Ambulance to The Aroostook Medical Center for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
No charges are pending.
