GORDON, Muriel H., 84, ASHLAND, at Eagle Lake, August 1, 2011. In keeping with her wishes, a graveside committal service will be held at 2 p.m., on Saturday, August 20, at the Masardis Municipal Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of Stimson-Ouellette Funeral Home, Ashland.

ASHLAND – Muriel H. Gordon, 84, died August 1, 2011, at an Eagle Lake health care facility. She was born in Rumford, August 16, 1926, the daughter of Reginald and Marjorie (Abbott) Hunt.

Muriel was a graduate of Cony High School in Augusta and attended Gates Business School, also in Augusta. She was a member of the Tillikum Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star of Ashland. Muriel was employed as a secretary in the Ashland school system for many years.

She is survived by three children: Kathi Beaulieu and her husband, Robert of Ashland, Leigh Gordon of Ashland, and Christy Daigle and her husband, Sim of Sabattus; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one niece; and several nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Maurice M. Gordon, Jr. in 1978.

In keeping with her wishes, a graveside committal service will be held at 2 p.m., on Saturday, Aug. 20, at the Masardis Municipal Cemetery with Rev. Donald Morton, Jr. officiating.
