CARIBOU — Officials are advising Caribou residents to be aware of the latest phone scam to hit the city; representatives of the “All American Sports Company” have been attempting to sell advertisements for Caribou High School’s upcoming fall sports schedule — but the company is in no way affiliated with the high school.
The scammers will apparently try to sell “ads” to anyone and everyone — they even called the Caribou Police Department.
“They’ve been doing phone solicitation saying they represent the Caribou High School, and they do not,” said Caribou Police Chief Michael Gahagan.
Residents are advised not to send any money or give out any credit card information to the “All American Sports Company,” as officials have labeled it a scam.
