Christian doers need to step up to the plate for WFST
To the editor:
Are we Christians in name only or are we Christian doers of the living word of God?
It’s a serious question to ask ourselves. We can attend church faithfully, hear the sermons and teachings, yet fail to let it go into our heart to take root and nurture our soul.
God’s Son, Jesus Christ, paid the ultimate price to save us by His death and resurrection. During His 33 years on earth, He set the standard of how we are to live out our lives spiritually, morally and financially. Spiritually to honor God with our whole mind, heart, soul and strength. Morally to live by the Word of God which builds character and wisdom. Financially to share our resources of wealth and savings by sowing into good soil.
Generosity is the heart of Christianity. It brings joy into our lives to share and pass it on to others.
Our Christian radio station WFST is that beacon of light that shares the good news of God’s word every day. It also feeds us spiritually with Christian music and programs that are uplifting. The station reaches out to all denominations to know Jesus Christ and to have a personal relationship with Him, our Lord and Savior.
The station was severely hit by the recent lightning storms that played havoc with some of its major equipment and is in need of financial help. How important is WFST in your life? Would you not miss the daily uplifting programs that come to us through this station?
Let us step up to the plate as Christian doers and contribute financially to keep the station on the air. It’s worth the investment!
