Easton FFA members earn awards

The Easton FFA took home quite a few awards from the Northern Maine Fair last week.
Members that participated were Zach Lamoreau taking home a second-place ribbon for beef judging, Carter Mazeroole with a third-place ribbon in potato judging, London McDonald taking first place in sheep judging and Brandon Hosford taking second place. They also won secnd place as a team in beef judging, sheep judging and potato judging. Congratulations on a job well done guys. Also congratulations to Kevin Marquis who is the FFA advisor.

Home for a visit
Keith Ireland and his wife, Leslie, were visiting in Easton for a few days with his parents, Mallord and Flora Ireland, and also his brother, Rob. They were traveling around seeing the sights. Keith and Leslie are from Spring City, Tenn.
Sympathy
Our sympathy goes out to the family of Peggy Niblett. Peggy passed away on Aug. 11. She will be deeply missed. Her positive attitude and constant smile will never be forgotten.
Frank honored

Kelsey Frank received the Citizenship Award for 2011 at Easton High School.
Kelsey Frank was given the Citizenship Award in Easton. Kelsey has a very positive attitude and she is a positive support and excellent example to others. She has excellent attendance in school as well as excellent academic skills. She is in band, soccer, plays basketball and she was chosen Student of the Month. Kelsey volunteers at TAMC, the Rec Department as well as church. She is an excellent role model for her peers and a true leader by example. Congratulations, Kelsey.
Happy Days Seniors
The Easton Senior Happy Days Club will be resuming their regular meetings with a potluck dinner on Thursday, Aug. 25. Hope everyone will come and join us at the manor at 11:30 a.m.
Birthdays/anniversaries
On Aug. 17, Jordan Doody, Andrew King and Donna Corey will all have a birthday. Also on that day Deborah and James Willis and Angela and Seth Dudley have an anniversary.
Craig Lamoreau, Avis Hume, Angela Dudley, Vincent Pelletier, Betty Clark Doty, Crystal Desmond and Ruth Anne Nadeau Darr will all be celebrating their birthdays on Aug. 18. Tammy and David Fuller and John and Tammy Tompkins will also be celebrating their anniversaries on that day.
Aug. 19 is an anniversary date for Tim and Kim Embelton and Angela and Carl Mullen.
Alexander Nations, Jennifer Rice, Nathan White, Carlos DeCruz and Eugene Johnson all have a birthday on Aug. 20.
On Aug. 22, Jay Winger will be another year older. Also Cynthia and Kevin Marquis have an anniversary on that day.
Rhylee Kinney, Ethan J. Webb, Isabelle Dionne, Darren West and Shelley McLean have a birthday on Aug. 23. Also Joshua and Julie King, Sharon and Rick Brown and Loren and Peggy Flewelling all have an anniversary that day.
