Basketball clinic
The Mini Viking Basketball clinic will be taking place next week starting on Monday, Aug. 22 at the Caribou High School.
Grades 3-5 will be from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. Grades 6-8 will be from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Registration forms are available at the Caribou High School.
Basketball meeting
There will be an informational meeting at the Limestone Recreation Department for the 2nd Annual Co-Ed Basketball League on Thursday, Aug. 18 now at 7 p.m. This will be for sign ups, rules, questions, and possibly a place to find a team.
Memorial golf tournament
The second annual Allan R. Shaw Memorial Golf Tournament will be held on Friday, August 19th at the Aroostook Valley Country Club in Fort Fairfield.
Registration will begin at 10 a.m. with a shotgun start at 11 a.m. A social hour and dinner will follow beginning at 4 p.m. Cash prizes will be awarded to the winning team, women’s and men’s closest to the pin and longest drive and raffle prizes will include golf gear, gift cards and Red Sox tickets.
Established in 2010, the Allan R. Shaw Memorial Foundation provides an annual scholarship to a deserving Presque Isle High School student in memory of Allan Shaw.
