The Greater Houlton Christian Academy boys and girls cross-country teams competed in the Presque Isle Cross-Country Invitational at the University of Maine Presque Isle on Saturday.
In the girls’ meet, MDI was first with 43, followed by Caribou, 71; Washburn, 91; John Bapst, 91; Ellsworth, 97; Presque Isle, 158 and GHCA, 173.
Ellsworth’s Aleta Looker was the top runner with a time of 20:21.00, followed by Washburn’s Carsyn Koch, 20:47.00.
Caribou won the boys meet with 35 points, followed by Ellsworth, 58; John Bapst, 65; Presque Isle, 138; MDI, 147; Foxcroft, 155; Old Town, 192; Washburn, 212; GHCA, 233 and Fort Kent, 271. Herman and Hodgdon had no team scores.
Ellsworth’s Dan Curtis finished first overall in a time of 17:15.00, while Presque Isle’s Matt Eager was second with a time of 17:36.00 Micah Wiley of GHCA finished in the top 15 with a time of 19:38.00, while Nick Lunn of Hodgdon was in the top 30 with a time of 20:42.00.
