The public is encouraged to attend a free seminar  focusing on “Keeping Kids Safe Online,” tonight at the Caribou Wellness and Recreation Center on  Bennett Drive, beginning at 6:30 p.m.

This seminar will feature guest speakers including Rachel Meyer, communications and marketing specialist with the Better Business Bureau; Caribou Police Officer Kevin St. Peter and Kathy Mazzuchelli, superintendent of the Caribou Parks and Recreation Department.

In the current age of technology, parents need to stay informed and get involved to make sure children are aware of the risks and rewards in regards to using the Internet. This informational program is structured for children, parents, teachers, child-care providers and concerned citizens while providing an opportunity to meet with a representative from the Better Business Bureau and local law enforcement to find out how to keep children safe online.

This seminar is sponsored by members of the Caribou Business and Professional Women’s organization in conjunction with the Caribou Parks and Recreation Department.
