Outstanding band concerts
To the editor:
Tonight’s concerts performed by the Caribou Middle and High school students were outstanding. There was barely room for the conductor for the stage was full of smiling and enthusiastic musicians. What a tribute to have such large bands. The music performed by these youngsters was of the same caliber as student performances I have seen at the University of Maine at Augusta’s senior concerts. These talented young musicians should be very proud of themselves. Great job Mr. McLaughlin!

Councilor appreciates support
To the editor:
I would like to thank the Caribou residents who turned out on Election Day to exercise the important right to vote and express their opinions at the polls, with special gratitude to those who voted for and supported me. I would also like to congratulate those who were elected and thank every candidate who made the decision to run, each offering to work hard to represent the interests of the city. I look forward to working with Councilors-Elect Aiken, McDonough, and Thompson in the new year, and I assure the community that I will continue to represent the citizens of Caribou to the best of my ability.
