A 41-year-old Houlton man will spend the next three years in prison for drug trafficking.
Paul Folsom III pled guilty on Wednesday, Nov. 16, in the Maine Superior Court in Houlton. He was sentenced to eight years confinement, with all but three years of that time suspended, and three years of probation along with $2,000 in fines, according to Assistant District Attorney Kurt Kafferlin.
Folsom was indicted by the Aroostook County Grand Jury on Nov. 4, 2010 on two counts of Unlawful Trafficking in Scheduled Drugs (Methamphetamine). His charges arise out of an investigation by the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency.  Folsom’s charges arise out of two sales of methamphetamines for cash, one occurring Sept. 15, 2010 and the other on Sept. 16, 2010.
