CARIBOU, Maine — The sixth-grade team of Mrs. Ruth Dionne and Mr. John Pelletier are pleased to announce that Ashley Matlock has been selected as the November Student of the Month.
Ashley is a very conscientious student, always giving her best effort regardless of the subject area. She is always willing to help her classmates and also her teachers when called upon. She is very respectful toward her peers and teachers.
Ashley is a very involved student, not only here at Caribou Middle School but outside the school as well. She participates in the school band and most recently made the sixth and seventh grade girl’s basketball team. As for outside activities, Ashley is involved with both Dutch and recreation soccer along with AYBL and recreation basketball. Ashley is certainly a wonderful addition to our team.
Sixth-grade teachers, Ms. Sarah Lajoie and Mrs. Cathy Bouchard, are pleased to have Dawson Hebert as our November Student of the Month.
Dawson is well-liked by his peers, teachers and coaches. He is very actively involved in sports, no matter the season; currently he is playing as a member of the 7th grade basketball team and on an AYBL team representing Caribou. During the fall sports season, he played recreation soccer as well as running cross-country for CMS. He also plays Little League for the Police team.
Aside from sports, Dawson is in the Gifted/Talented Program and received highest honors on his report card. He is homeroom Student Representative. Dawson has a great sense of humor and is a great addition to CMS.
Madison Doucette is the seventh-grade November Student of the Month.
Maddie is an excellent student who is respected by her teachers for her outstanding work in the classroom. In every class, Maddie demonstrates a positive attitude, strong work ethic and academic excellence. She also is a very kind, generous person who is always willing to help her fellow students.
Madison is an excellent athlete who participates in soccer, basketball, softball and tennis.
The seventh-grade teachers have chosen Lexie Theriault as their November Student of the Month.
Lexie is very active at Caribou Middle School, where she participates on the basketball team. She takes great pride in her work and wants to do well.
Lexie is very helpful in the classroom and is always willing to help a person in need.
In her spare time, Lexie enjoys horseback riding.
The eighth-grade teachers have chosen Hailey Caron as one of their Students of the Month.
Hailey is an outstanding school citizen, who is polite, respectful, hard-working and is quick to help. Hailey is an honor roll student who was also a member of the CMS soccer team. Hailey’s teachers – Mr. Troy Barnes, Ms. Jessica Dow, Mrs. Shannon Sleeper, Mr. Travis Barnes, and Mr. Ralph Fantasia – believe that she is an excellent choice, and are pleased to select her as a Student of the Month.
Mason Huck has been chosen by the grade-8 teachers — Mr. Troy Barnes, Ms. Dow, Mrs. Sleeper, Mr. Travis Barnes, and Mr. Fantasia — as one of their students of the month.
Mason has been a member of the basketball, soccer, track and baseball teams during his time at CMS. He has also been a consistent honor roll student. Mason has shown he takes his role as a school citizen seriously, being a helpful, polite and well-respected student by both his peers and CMS staff.
