PRESQUE ISLE — Officials with the Central Aroostook Chamber of Commerce are preparing for the annual meeting and recognition dinner, slated for Thursday, Jan. 26, at the Presque Isle Inn & Convention Center on the Houlton Road.

Awards will be presented for Citizen of the Year, Business of the Year and Lifetime Achievement.

“The award recipients are chosen by members of the Presque Isle Elks Club, Presque Isle Rotary Club, Presque Isle Kiwanis Club and Central Aroostook Chamber of Commerce,” said Theresa Fowler, executive director, CACC.

Fowler said these organizations have jointly sponsored these awards over the years and are happy to announce this year’s nominees.

“Milton and Gloria Adelman have been nominated for the Lifetime Achievement Award. Carol Bell received the nod for Citizen of the Year. Clukey’s Auto Supply, located on Main Street, was selected as Business of the Year,” said Fowler.

The night will begin with a social at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m. Cost is $35 per individual and $65 per couple, with a table of eight available for $240.

    Pre-registration is required.
