AYBL 5-6 grade girls finish year 10-0

    The Aroostook Youth Basketball League 5-6 grade girls team from Houlton enjoyed playing on the Boston Celtic’s hardwood and played in the Best of the Best Tournament on the way home.
     The Houlton girls defeated Falmouth, 57-20, with Kolleen Bouchard scoring 16, Kristen Graham 15, Aspen Flewelling 10, Tyra Gentle and Alexis Miller each five points with the Mooers twins, Rebecca and Carolyn, each with a hoop.
    In the second game of the tournament, Houlton defeated Biddeford, 33-15 behind well-balanced scoring from the team, as Bouchard had seven, Carolyn Mooers six, Graham and Flewelling five apiece, Miller and  Rebecca Mooers four points each and Jamie Brown a hoop.

    These girls also won the 5-6 grade girls’ division of AYBL with an undefeated record of 10-0. They outscored their opponents 433-176.
