Things to do in Presque Isle
The rising cost of heating fuel has left many having to come up with creative ways to come up with the money to pay for the next oil delivery. Such is the case with the local senior center, the Gathering Place, located on Davis Street.
Sines said donations are still being sought for the event.
“We could use donations — everything except clothes. We welcome all donations. All money raised benefits the center,” said Sines. Organizers are hoping for a good turnout.
“We’d love to have people come by starting about 9 a.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. on Sunday. You may find something you need, and at the same time you’ll be helping us get something we need — fuel,” said Sines.
