Miss Maine deadline soon
Registrations are now being accepted for the 76th annual Miss Maine Scholarship Pageant scheduled for June 16 at the Crooker Theater at Brunswick High School. The event is the official state preliminary to the Miss America Pageant, the largest source of scholarships for women in the world.
Deadline for participation is March 1. To obtain a registration form and for additional information about Miss Maine 2012, contact Audrey Findlen at afindlen@maine.rr.com or the Miss Maine website at www.missmaine.org.
Antique tractor club to award scholarship
For the second year, the Northern Maine Antique Tractor Club will be awarding a scholarship to a high school senior or a non-traditional student.
The scholarship is available to a member of the club, a spouse, child, grandchild, niece or nephew of a club member. Additional criteria for applying is available on the club’s website at www.nmatc.org/.
