Mapleton Daze meeting scheduled

MAPLETON NEWS

by Jennifer Buzza

Mapleton Lions Club Secretary Terry Sandusky has announced that there will be a meeting Thursday, March 8 at 6:30 p.m. for anyone who is interested in supporting the Mapleton Daze effort. The meeting will be held at the Mapleton Lions Club hall. Any club, organization, church or business is encouraged to send representatives to discuss and plan the 2012 Mapleton Daze weekend. Any volunteer who would like to support Mapleton Daze is also welcome to attend.

The Mapleton Lions Club believes Mapleton Daze is an important event for the three towns. Many of events will go forward including the Family and Friends Get Together on Friday night, the two-day Maple Meadow Farm Festival, the Mapleton High School Reunion Dinner, and the Haystack Historical Society Pie and Ice Cream Social. What is undecided is whether there will be volunteers to step forward for the Saturday morning children activities, the parade and other Mapleton Daze activities.

This meeting will provide an opportunity for everyone who is concerned about Mapleton Daze to come and plan the festival’s future. There will be a Mapleton Daze. The only question is, “Will you be willing to be part of its future?” Please come and join the effort.
