What Komodo Dragons eat: monkeys, wild boar, deer, water buffalo, goats, snake, sheep and cattle. Komodo Dragons are carnivores and they live in the central Indonesia, including Komodo Dragons National Park, Rinca, Florce and the Glimonn tag. They are 10 feet long, 3 meters, they are the heaviest living creatures. They have been around for millions of years. Komodo Dragons are only found on Indonesia’s lesser Sunda Islands and Volcanic Indonesia Islands.

They are a type of monitor lizards. Komodo Dragons are powerful reptiles. Full grown Komodo Dragons can reach up to 10 feet, 3 meters long and weigh more than 300 pounds, 140 kilograms. Most of them weigh 150 pounds and 70 kilograms. They are powerful looking reptiles with wide, flat heads, rounded snouts, bowed legs and huge muscular tails.

They are clumsy, they do a back and forth walk and their yellow tongues flick in and out constantly. The dominant predators on the islands where they live, Komodo Dragons will eat almost anything they find, including already dead animals like deer, water buffalos, pigs, smaller komodo dragons and occasionally humans. They can get camouflaged and patient, lying in bushes or tall grasses until a victim passes by.

The reason why me and my friend Anna wanted to do the Komodo Dragon was because they are very rare creatures and because my teacher had one but it died, and plus they are very cool creatures. They are warm blooded and it is so cool you would probably like to have one too. I bet you guys are a fan of them.

Hope you guys enjoy the other people that were in the newspaper like some in different schools and everything like that. I hope you like what me and my friend Anna wrote so you enjoy this story that we wrote about Komodo Dragons.

And P.S.- you better be careful of them OK.

Komodo Dragons eat: monkeys, wild boars, deer, buffalo, goats, pigs, snakes, sheep and cattle. Komodo Dragons are carnivores and they live in the central Indonesia, central Rinca Park and tropical rain forests. They can reach about 10 feet and run about 11 miles per hour. Komodo Dragons are the biggest and the heaviest lizards in the world.

Komodo Dragons live for 30 years. A Komodo Dragon has long flat heads with rounded snouts, scaly skin, bowed legs and huge, muscular tails. They can weigh more than 300 pounds.

Dragon saliva teems with over 50 strains of bacteria and within 24 hours, the stricken creature usually dies of blood poisoning.

The reason I am writing about a Komodo Dragon is because they are my second favorite animal in the world.
