NEW SWEDEN – Dana Wesley Johnson, 55, of New Sweden, Maine, died December 23, 2011, at Eastern Maine Medical Center after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was born September 26, 1956, in Caribou, Maine, the son of Evelyn and the late Wesley W. Johnson. He was the youngest of three siblings.
Dana graduated from Caribou High School and enjoyed traveling to Florida, Alaska and California during his younger years. He resided in New Sweden most of his life, and worked in construction and farming. He was a confirmed member of Gustaf Adolph Lutheran Church.
He is survived by his mother, Evelyn Naegeli of Laguna Woods, California; brother Dorian Johnson of New Sweden; sister and brother-in-law Lynne and Claude Joseph of Lihue, Hawaii; and close family friend Rebecca Cummings of Caribou, Maine.
