NEW LIMERICK – Robert V. Watson, 83, went to be with his Lord on May 25 2012 at his home with his family at his side. He was born June 30, 1928 in Ft. Fairfield, the son of Clifford and Eva (McFawn) Watson. Bob was a lifelong farmer and trucker. His retirement hobby was running his saw mill. He enjoyed croquet, rook, antique tractor-pulling and gospel concerts. He was very active in his church, the County Road Baptist, where he was a deacon for twenty-five years and a G.H.C.A. association member. He married his wife, Norma (Ross), in 1950 and helped raise ten children.
Besides his wife of New Limerick, he is survived by eight children, Carl and Carmel Watson of Smyrna, Wayne Watson of New Limerick, Kris Watson of New Limerick, Brent and Karen Watson of Smyrna, Kent Watson of Smyrna, Kevin Watson of Littleton, Jamey and Ellen Watson of Youngs-town, Ohio, and Lois and Glen Barnes of New Limerick; 20 grand-children and 24 great-grand-children; one sister, Vera LeBlanc of Presque Isle and one brother, Graydon Watson of Patten; many neices, nephews, and cousins. He was predeased by his parents, two children, Louise and Roy, one brother, Donald, and a sister, Kay.
Friends may call 2-4 p.m. Wednesday at the County Road Baptist Church where a funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. with the Rev. Rick Carver officiating.
