Strout sentenced to four years

    Robert Strout, 64, of Orient was sentenced to four years in prison for his role in a triple murder in Amity in 2010, as well as an unrelated drug charge from 2011, according to a published report in the Bangor Daily News.
    Strout’s first arrest came in September 2010 when he was charged with hindering apprehension and arson for his part in helping Thayne Ormsby conceal evidence in the murder investigation of Jeff Ryan, Jesse Ryan and Jason DeHahn. In August, 2011, Strout, was arrested and charged with aggravated furnishing of oxycodone, a Class B crime. He was also charged with violation of conditions of release.
