SPINNEY, Madeline, 67, CARIBOU, May 24, 2012. Arrangements are in the care of Duncan-Graves Funeral Homes, Presque Isle.

    CARIBOU – Madeline Spinney, 67, passed away May 24, 2012, surrounded by her family, at a Caribou health care facility. She was born March 25, 1945, in St. John Plantation, ME, to the late Albert and Rosana (St. Pierre) Boutot.

    Madeline graduated from Fort Kent High School in 1962. She married Albert Spinney in 1963. Together, they raised a family of five children in Washburn. She was co-owner of Maddie’s Market in Caribou for several years. She worked beside her husband, Albert, for over 40 years for Spinney’s Painting and Drywall.

    Madeline is survived by a son, Grant Spinney and his wife, Ashley of Caribou; three daughters, Debi Leighton and her husband, Jim  of Limestone, Connie Marchi and her husband, Peter of South Windsor, CT, and Michelle Spinney and her partner, Christina Homer of Portland. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; two brothers; two sisters; and many in-laws.

    In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Albert Spinney; a son, Albert Spinney Jr.; and  three brothers.

    A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated 11 a.m., Tuesday, May 29, 2012, at The Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Parish of the Precious Blood, 31 Thomas Ave., Caribou, with the Very Rev. Jean Paul LaBrie celebrant. Friends called 10 a.m., Tuesday until time of service at the church. Madeline and her husband, Albert were buried together at Riverside Ext. Cemetery in Washburn following the Mass. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Madeline to a charity of one’s choice. Online Condolences may be expressed at www.duncan-graves.com
