KATAHDIN — Katahdin Area High School has announced its honor parts for the 2011-12 school year. 
Sonja Williams is valedictorian of the class of 2012. She is the daughter of Kevin Williams and Sharon Poole. Williams plans to attend University of Maine in Orono and major in animal science. She is a member of the National Honor Society, student council, prom committee, band, and secretary/treasurer of the senior class. 
Nicholas Pettegrow is salutatorian. He is the son of Stanley and Sue Pettegrow of Benedicta. He plans to attend Husson University and major in pharmacy. Pettegrow is a member of National Honor Society, student council, prom committee and class president. 
Jenna Heath has been named the honor student. She is the daughter of Jeff and Kim Heath of Patten. She plans to attend the University of Maine in Orono and major in nursing. Heath is a member of the National Honor Society, the yearbook editor, prom committee, manager of baseball and basketball, and student council.
