LIMESTONE — The two newest Selectpeople were present during the annual town meeting on June 6, being voted into office the day before.
Receiving the most votes to serve on the board was Thomas Devoe, with 123 votes. In second was Jesse Philbrick with 90 votes. The two both have three-year terms on the Board of Selectpeople, along side Danny Gahagan Sr., Jimmy Pelletier and Gary O’Neal.
Also on the ballot for Selectpeople were Fred Pelletier and Brian Leighton, who received 78 votes and 72 votes respectively.
Limestone residents also voted on two elected seats, in which candidates ran un-opposed.
Running for the Limestone Board of Trustees for the Water and Sewer Department, Charles Kelley received 184 votes; running for a seat on the RSU 39 school board, Michelle Albert received 183 votes.
A total of 202 voters turned out to submit ballots in Limestone’s election on June 12.
Not even half that number turned out for the annual town meeting on June 13.
With little discussion, few questions and the worst turnout in years, 66 voters determined Limestone’s budget for the 2012-13 fiscal year.
All articles were passed exactly as they read in the annual report and the meeting concluded in under 35 minutes.
