Cary Library receives donation

The Cary Library has recently been informed that they were named beneficiaries for two local trusts currently held by the library and managed by H.M. Payson & Co. Inc. The bequest is in the amount of $25,000 each. The family wishes these gifts to remain anonymous.
    The Cary Library’s Endowment Fund provides a lasting legacy through planned giving. A gift to the Endowment Fund remains intact and exists in perpetuity; only the income generated from the fund is used. This ensures that an endowment gift will enhance and enrich the library experience for the community for generations to come.
The donors were educated in Houlton schools, began using the library as children, and continued to enjoy the library’s many services as adults. The income generated from this donation will be expended toward the library’s children’s collection and programs per the wishes of the donors.
