Presque Isle hosted the Northern Maine Community Recreation Association’s Aroostook County singles tennis tournament July 23, with Caribou players taking first in five of the six divisions.
In the 10-12 girls division, Gabrielle Marquis of Caribou defeated Kassie Krul, also of Caribou, 8-4. For 10-12 boys, Noah Heidorn of Caribou downed Alex Cyr, also of Caribou, 8-1.
Presque Isle managed its lone title in the 13-15 girls division as Sarah Morneault scored the 8-1 win over Hannah McDonald of Caribou. For 13-15 boys, Gabe Massey of Caribou stopped PI’s Byron Winslow, 8-4.
In the 16-18 girls division, Carlee Pinette went uncontested for the victory. For the boys in that same age group, Zachary Gorence eased past PI’s Clint Adler in the finals, 8-0.
