Levesque knows The County

To the editor:
The people of Senate District 34 have an opportunity to elect a fresh face to the Maine State Senate this year.
Dan Levesque, born and raised in The County, knows something about creating jobs. He’s run a business. He’s helped bring a biomass plant to the region. He’s served as a town selectman. He’s fought to improve our highways.
Dan Levesque served his country in the National Guard. An avid sportsman, Dan will work hard to preserve access to our outdoor heritage.
Dan Levesque has worked all his life to bring good jobs to Aroostook County. Now he can work for us.
I’ve known Dan Levesque as a student, basketball player, fellow board member of Portage Hills Country Club, and family friend. He will represent his district with integrity and hard work. Dan is very professional and will explore all avenues in order to meet his constituent’s needs.
As an educator for the past 46 years, coach, athletic administrator and now a semi-retired substitute teacher, I know that Dan Levesque will support the goals of the Maine Education Association, which is much needed for our beleaguered profession. He knows that our future lies in our children’s education and the people that will make this possible.
I’ll be voting for Dan Levesque for State Senate on Nov. 6.
