CARIBOU – Maxine E. Gee, 96, passed away on Sunday, August 12, 2012, at a Caribou Nursing Home. She was born in Caribou on February 2, 1916, the daughter of John and Faye (Burns) Gee.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew her, and for the many games of Scrabble she loved to play. She attended the Caribou Baptist Church for many years and was a member of the WCTU and the Edith and Ethel mission circle.
Maxine is survived by her good friends, Guelda Michaud and Penny LeVasseur of Caribou; her cousins, Katherine Anderson of Yorklyn, Delaware, Wilma Gene Parker and her husband, William of Bowdoin, Cyrus Morris and his wife, Edwina of Caribou, and Lorraine McLaughlin and her husband, RH of Bangor.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Floris Finnemore and a brother, Shirley Gee.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, August 14, 2012, at Lancaster Morgan Funeral Home, 11 Clover Street, Caribou. There will be a private interment at Evergreen Cemetery. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.lancastermorgan.com.
