Stockholm Historical Society to hold Open House on Sunday, Sept. 2

Members of the Stockholm Historical Society will once again host a Fall Open House on Sunday, Sept. 2 from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m.

“It’s also Labor Day Weekend, so if you have guests, bring them down to see our displays of old farm and logging equipment, Dick’s Old Time Barber Shop, Frannie Anderson’s garage, Gordon Anderson’s balloon apparatus, and an old farm kitchen with all of the most ‘modern’ conveniences for the farmer’s wife,” said Vice President of the Stockholm Historical Society Sandra Hara.

This year’s “must stop” location is Annie’s Dress Shop with many pieces of vintage clothing and the historical society’s prized display of several period wedding dresses, complete with photographs of the brides who wore them.

“Coffee and cookies will be served so circle the date — Sept. 2 — to come on down and join us,” officials added.

The Stockholm Historical Society is located on the corner of South Main and Lake Street in Stockholm.
