HOULTON — A health and wellness fair will be held at the Gentle Memorial Building Friday, Sept. 14 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Featured events include a blood drive, healthy homes demonstration, blood pressure, body mass and blood sugar/cholesterol screenings and yoga demonstration with Tai Chi to follow.
Among the participating groups are: American Red Cross, 5 Elements Healing Arts, ACAP, Healthy Homes, KVHC, CLA, Cooperative Extension, Happy Healthy and Well and AMHC. The Red Cross will give out 100th anniversary Boston Red Sox shirts for those donating blood during the health fair.
The health fair is sponsored by CLA’s Wellness Committee sponsored in part by the group “Happy, Healthy and Well” and the Houlton Recreation Department.
