FS-MSP Fred Thomas-clr-cx-shpt-37Colonel Williams presents Fred Thomas of Washburn with his retirement certificate, after 33 years of service with the Maine Department of Public Safety. Thomas, a one-time Houlton resident, started his new job in September as head of security for the University of Maine at Presque Isle’s campus. For the past six years, Thomas was a trooper patrolling central Aroostook County and prior to that, served for over two decades as a state liquor enforcement officer before that agency was disbanded in 2003.
