OAKFIELD, Maine — The annual Oakfield Fire Department’s fund-raising auction will be held Saturday, starting at noon, at the Oakfield Community Center. Located off Route 286, the annual auction is one of the largest fundraisers for the fire department and helps with the purchase of new equipment.
Among the big ticket items to be auctioned are stove wood, oil, passes to the Houlton Agricultural Fair, gift certificates, potatoes, and home made goods. Refreshments will also be sold. The auctioneer is Billy Nadeau.
