BAKER, Frederick O., 77, PORTAGE LAKE, at Bangor, October 18, 2012. A graveside service with military honors will be held at 1 p.m., on Saturday, Oct. 27, at Lady of the Snows Cemetery, Ashland. Arrangements are in the care of Stimson-Ouellette Funeral Home, Ashland.

PORTAGE LAKE – Frederick O. Baker, 77, died October 18, 2012, at a Bangor Hospital. He was born August 17, 1935, in Wade, the son of William and Martha (Conroy) Baker.
    He served with the US Air Force during the end of the Korean War. He was a self-employed carpenter all his life and a life member of the AmVets.
    He is survived by his wife, Hallie (Hayward) Condon Baker of Portage Lake; five children, Randy Baker, Kevin Baker and his wife, Tracy, all of Ashland, Jerry Baker and his wife, Elizabeth of Milton Mills, NH, Lisa Harris and her husband, Roland, Jr., of Ashland, and Jason Baker and his wife, Laura of Mapleton; four step-children, Kelly Condon of Portage Lake, Randy Condon and his wife, Stephanie of St. Cloud, FL, Todd Condon of Ashland, and Dawn Dunbar and her husband, Byron of Hermon; three brothers, Neil and Raymond Baker of Washburn, and Jack Baker of New Hampshire; five sisters, Barbara Drost, Patricia Baker and Linda Levasseur, all of Washburn, Gloria Drost of Canada, and Nora Holmes of New Hampshire; 11 grandchildren; and seven step-grandchildren.
    In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, Louann Clark in 1993; brothers, William, Erwin, Ovide, Lloyd, Donald and Harry Baker; and sister, Daphne Baker.
    A graveside service with military honors will be held at 1 p.m., on Saturday, Oct. 27, at Lady of the Snows Cemetery, Ashland, with Pastor Donald Morton, Jr., officiating.
