HOULTON, Maine — The annual All-Aroostook Vocal Music Festival will take place this weekend at Houlton High School starting with a full day of rehearsals on Friday, Nov. 30. This festival will feature students from various middle and high schools from Aroostook County coming together to prepare for a concert that will take place on Saturday Dec. 1 at 2 p.m.
Seventy-five middle school students will be performing with guest conductor Beth Preston, vocal music educator at Lincoln Academy, while 95 high school students will be under the direction of Andrew Poulopoulos, the Salvation Army New England Divisional music and gospel arts director.
The concert itself is open to the public and will be held at 2 p.m. in Alumni Gymnasium. Tickets are $3 for students/senior citizens, $4 for adults, and $10 per family (parents and siblings only, not to exceed 5 tickets).
