LIMESTONE – Lorina Christie Cochran, 44, died November 12, 2012, at Mars Hill, following a period of declining health. She was born in Presque Isle February 13, 1968, the daughter of Michael and Christie (Smart) Cochran.
She was a 1986 graduate of Limestone High School and was employed as an insurance agent for Prudential Insurance in Farmington for a number of years and also was employed at Sunny River Nursing Home in Farmington. Lorina loved working in her flower garden and was proud to tell you the name of each and every flower in her garden. She loved to do crafts and take care of her loving pet cat Samuel.
She is survived by her significant other and best friend, Patrick Taggett of Limestone; her mother, Christie of Washburn; her son, Marc Cochran of Skowhegan; her grandson, Grady Cochran of Jay; her sister, Anissa Levesque of Caribou; her grandmother, Beulah Nalley of Presque Isle; and her aunts, Colleen Cochran of Presque Isle and Patricia Rand of Caribou. She also is survived by a very special friend and “substitute mother“, Maria Caldwell of Limestone; and her “substitute uncle”, Al White of Mars Hill.
Ms. Cochran was predeceased by a daughter, Shandi Wiggins Cochran; her father, Michael; her grandfather, Wesley; two uncles, William and Gary Cochran.
Friends called at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou, at 1 p.m., Saturday, November 17, 2012, until time of funeral services. Funeral services were held 3 p.m., from the chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Roger Jewell, officiating. Interment was in the Fairmont Cemetery. www.mocklerfuneralhome.com
