New location, bigger building for members of ‘The County’ in the Shiretown
HOULTON — The County Federal Credit Union will celebrate the grand opening of its new Houlton branch  at 247 North St. in Houlton with a news conference Wednesday, at 10 a.m.

The County hired Theriault/Landman Associates (TLA, Inc.) of Portland, one of the top designers of financial institutions, to design its new 3,500 square foot Houlton branch.  The County awarded construction to Peter Chase’s Buildings Etcetera of Houlton.
Crews began construction of The County’s new Houlton branch in mid-June.  The completion marks a $1.2 million dollar investment in the community of Houlton.
The newest branch offers members ample free parking, a two lane drive thru, a drive up ATM, plus a 500 square foot community meeting room that civic groups might reserve for meetings during the workday and after hours.
The lobby of The County Federal Credit Union’s new branch will feature a 27-foot replica of Houlton’s Pedestrian Foot Bridge, suspended from the ceiling
