HOULTON, Maine — Members of the Children’s Chorus, who performed with the Kindred Harps on their most recent CD All Creatures, are pleased to present a gift of money to the Ark Animal Sanctuary and Houlton Humane Society. The children helped prepare the CD, which was made to raise funds for the animal shelters.
All Creatures, which was produced by Brian McMann and includes music by Kindred Harps, the chorus, and flute music by Kelly Ellis, was dedicated in memory of their mascot, Bingo, whose picture appears on the cover.
Kindred Harps members Lou Ellis, Leigh Griffith, Barbara Hogan, Dale Holden and Lynn Tweedie express their thanks to those who have supported this project. Copies of the CD are available at Visions, Houlton Regional Hospital, Chadwicks Florist, Hollywood Pet Salon and the Houlton Humane Society. All profits from the project benefit the two animal shelters.
Members of the chorus, conduced by Mary Miller, include Anna Hogan, Zoe Austin, Sydney Ellis, Sidney Peabody, Shiloh Shaw, Cassie Shaw, Hope Chernesky, Ellie Grant and Kelsey Sewell.
Kindred Harps first CD, Butterfly Dreams, was made to raise funds for the Logan Sweet Foundation in memory of Holden’s 6-year-old grandson, Logan Sweet, to raise funds for research and awareness of viral myocaditis. This CD, which is featured in the DVD Awesome Aroostook, produced by Brenda Jepson, is also available by contacting any member of Kindred Harps.
