After saving their empty bottles and cans for a full year, employees of the Pepsi Bottling Group out of Presque Isle had enough funds set aside to make two $250 donations, one to the Pine Tree Chapter of the American Red Cross and one to Boy Scout Troop 184 to help fund the flag pole for the new Caribou Boy Scout Hall. Shown here, Pepsi Bottling Group Territory Coordinator Bob Bishop presents Scott Belanger, on behalf of Troop 184, with the $250 donation. Pepsi employees will be coming to Caribou on Sunday, April 28 for PSST (Pepsi Supporting Small Towns) to volunteer with the Caribou Recreation Department. “If local people want to help us, they’re more than welcome to come for that day,” Bishop explained. “If we get more people, we can get more stuff done for the town.”
