Greater Houlton Christian Academy held its annual Valentine’s Day spaghetti supper on March 2, raising $4,800. Wayne Watson and Tony Bowers, the evening’s auctioneers, had a great time “egging” on bidders during the dessert auction.
“Due to a storm on Feb. 9, we had to postpone this important fundraiser,” explained John Bishop, head of school. “We weren’t sure how the turnout would be, but as always, we had an excellent crowd and lots of friendly bidding during our dessert auction.”
Funds from the supper are used to support GHCA’s budget.
“The annual fund meets the gap between our budgeted expenses and what is paid in tuition,” said Bishop. “Each year, staff and parents contribute their time and support to fundraisers like this one, with a goal to help make tuition to GHCA as affordable as possible for as many families as possible.”
