Take Off Pounds Sensibly Chapter 0233 of Houlton met at the Aldergate building on High Street for its Friday, March 29 meeting. Fifteen ladies were in attendance; six were KOPS (Keep Off Pounds Sensibly).

Loser of the week was Diane Folsom with Cheryl Driscoll as runner-up. The skinny dish was taken home by Betty Ivey.
Diane Folsom, leader, read some literature on attitude and its 12 points. Some were: we become what we think about; control your thoughts and you will control your life; treat everybody as the most important person in the world.
Charms were distributed by Diane: Joanne Scott, loser for February; Cheryl Driscoll, lost of 15 pounds. Shirley Ethier gave information on the motel in Brewer for SRD. Shirley took care of everything in that respect.
Next week we will all change chairs, just to get acquainted with another TOPS or KOPS person. Cheryl Driscoll, in charge of the new contest, told us about how we can earn points and she read about contest rules. A workshop was held early in the meeting, so each one could make an animal for the contest.
We gathered a lot of items for the animal shelter this week and last and Diane will deliver it to the shelter. Barbara Troy led us in several minutes of exercises before we left for the day. Charlotte Marley read a story about chocolate Easter eggs.
For more information on the chapter you may call Charlotte Marley at 757-8483 or Betty Ivey at 532-9653. We meet every Friday at 8-8:45 a.m. for weigh-in. No one is weighed after 8:45 a.m. as the weight recorder needs to figure her numbers. See you next week and have a weight loss week.
