MAPLETON – Alta (Clark) Bagley, 84, passed away Tuesday afternoon, on May 7, 2013, at Cary Medical Center in Caribou. She was born in Presque Isle on May 18, 1928, the daughter of Clarence and Lena (Wilcox) Clark.
Alta worked as a waitress at Green Acres Restaurant in Caribou and at the Northeastland Hotel coffee shop, and then at Taterstate Foods in Washburn as a cook. She was an excellent and gifted seamstress.
She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Bob Bagley of Mapleton, who was her longtime companion and caregiver; three daughters, Ronda Bohovich and her partner, Pat Gorman of Island Pond, VT, Francine Mosher and her husband, Bob of East Chapman, Alena Barnes and her husband, Bruce of Beverly Hills, FL; a son, Joel Clark of Bangor; a brother, Neil Clark and his wife, Trudy of Silver Springs, Fla.; four grandchildren, Jennifer Buck, Carrie Donnell, Joseph Weissman and Matthew Stevens; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. Alta was predeceased by her sister, Myrna Clark.
