PONTOTOC, MS – Carolyn Margaret Godin, 56, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, May 6, 2013 at North MS Medical Center of Tupelo. She was born on March 13, 1957 to Percy and Muriel Thompson Theriault in Caribou, ME. She later married Armand Godin on April 15, 1977 and enjoyed over 35 years together. She was a Christian, a member of Buchanan Baptist Church and a volunteer worker at Community Hospice in Verona.
Services were at Buchanan Baptist Church at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 9, 2013 with Bro. David Westmoreland and Bro. Charlie Swords officiating. Burial followed in the Buchanan Cemetery.
She leaves behind her husband, Armand Godin of Pontotoc; her mother, Muriel Theriault of Caribou, ME; two sons, Troy Lee Godin of Ripley, MS and Jason Michael Godin of Pontotoc; four grandchildren, Taylor Godin, Drew Godin, Alicia Godin and Asher Godin; three sisters, Dorena Purkapile of Rogers, AR, Donna Bramlitt of Pontotoc, MS and Darlene Hallett of Caribou; two brothers, Randy Theriault and Larry Theriault, both of Caribou; half-brother, Rodney Theriault of WI and half-sister, Pricilla Austin of Caribou; and a very special friend, Lisa Westmoreland.
She is preceded in death by her father and one brother, Bernard Rediker.
Pallbearers to serve will be Todd Shettles, Kirk Shettles, Eric Purkapile, Brent Purkapile, Randy Finch, and Collins Finch. Honorary pallbearers will be Travis Jenkins, Lamon Graham, Jerry Short and Jay Knight.
Visitation was Wednesday, May 8, 2013 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. at the Buchanan Baptist Church.
