The chorus was led by Music Teacher Crystal Hobbs and the bands were led by Band Instructor Sean Diette. The night featured solos by Alexis Carney, Brianna Jernigan, and Justin Davis. There were also two duets by Braedon Campbell with Samantha White and Alex Hyde with Sydney Chavez, and a trio of Kala Farley, Shanae Burt and Courtney Cannon. The 5th and 6th grade band also did a piece featuring a guest musician, Mr. Bragg, the elementary school principal, playing the triangle.
On Saturday, May 11, Washburn District High School juniors and seniors turned up at the school gym decked out in gowns and tuxes for the Junior/Senior Prom. This year’s prom theme was “Fire & Ice,” featuring beautiful glowing decorations and music by DJ KC & Company. There was a good turnout and fun was had by all.
