Have you ever been driving when you looked into your rear view mirror, to see someone operating their vehicle so close to yours, that you actually feel unsafe?
Maine Motor Vehicle Statue states – Following too closely is PROHIBITED 17A-2066.1
An operator of a motor vehicle may not follow another vehicle more closely than is reasonable and prudent, having due regard for the speed of the vehicle, the traffic and the condition of the way.
If you’re one of these people with little to no common courtesy, and feel that it’s not your problem when you’re operating just off some ones bumper “tailgating”, please plan on having your day in court.
