The 150th (sesquicentennial) Committee has been formed. They are looking for anyone who may have any historical knowledge of the town of Easton.Also if you have any ideas for events for the Sesquicentennial or are interested in helping out in any way, please call Cheryl Clark at the Town Office at 488-6652.
The Eagle remembered
The flight of Apollo 11 will be remembered during an event on Saturday, July 20, at 4 p.m. Super-size your summer season as we relive the unforgettable moments of July 1969, when three men traveled through space in a tiny ship — destination: moon! Neil Armstrong and Edwin (Buzz) Aldren became the first Earth ambassadors to walk on another world. Our hour-long planetarium experience features and introduces us to a fun family vacation which brings our characters to Florida to witness the launch and experience of Apollo 11. Come along and fasten your seatbelts for the greatest show beyond Earth.
Admission: adults, $3.50; seniors and students, $1.50. Members are free. Seating is limited. Reservations requested. The event will take place at the Francis Malcolm Institute, 776 Houlton Rd., Easton. For more information call 488-5451 or e-mail info@francismalcolmsciencecenter.com.
