Hello everyone! Hope all is well with you, wherever you are and no matter what you are doing. I was saddened to hear of Janice Harrigan’s death on Saturday, August 17. Janice had heart trouble and she will be missed.
Doris Hogan is a patient at Houlton Regional Hospital, at the time of this writing. Brian and Charlene Henderson have another grandson by daughter Amy, born in Bangor. Sorry I don’t have the father’s name but best wishes to all concerned.
On the sick list recently is Dorothy Campbell and Florence MacDonald. ‘’Flossie’ fell and was confined to her apartment for a few days with injuries to her arm and face.
Celebrating anniversaries recently are: August 16, Molly and Chester Bailey and Valerie and Daniel Pelletier; August 17, Bernette and Bill Roach (45 years). Happy anniversary everyone and may your happy married life continue for many years.
I must say thank you to all leaving bags beside my door and to the special person who brought me cancelled stamps. It really is appreciated.
Hope everyone had a happy Potato Feast celebration. Heard from some of my friends that it was a nice time.

Susanne DeGrasse of Glenburn, niece of Lois Downing, and Cheryl Beiter of Georgia, were recent callers of Lois Downing. They had been to Caribou for a class reunion and described their reunion to Lois. They chalked up many memories and had a super time.
We were sorry to learn of the Rev. George Hickey’s death recently. Fr. Hickey served as an assistant to the late Rev. John Bellefontaine for a few years at St. Mary of the Visitation Church. God bless Fr. Hickey — may he rest in peace.
RSVP has been looking for knitters for socks and mittens. If you knit, why not volunteer for Retired Senior Volunteer Program. It will be greatly appreciated and they have yarn. Paul Armstrong is cancer free, I’m told. Good for you, Paul.
If you enter the community room, you will notice new tables, round ones. The chairs were replaced a few weeks ago. They look great. Two of well-known friends have died recently, Rita Benn and Mary Ann (called Banche) Cyr. They will be missed.
Try to watch the winners at Andy’s Super Market drawing weekly. The latest winner is Julie Williams, $100.
As for angels, they are all around us. You just have to open your eyes and heart and there you are. Have a wonderful week ahead, stay safe and above all pray and stay healthy. Jeannie Hall’s brother, Roger Goodall, and his wife Dawn from Schoodack Landing, New York came to visit her. They celebrated Jeannie’s birthday on Aug. 12.
