Shop’s offerings have rustic appeal
Whether you are looking for a gift or looking to do some redecorating, The Olde Rustic Attic, located at the Aroostook Centre Mall in Presque Isle, will have just what you need.
Owners Paula and Stephen Reynolds are confident you will find just the right item, no matter what you are looking for, be it for the kitchen, living room, bath or for your garden.
“We offer a great selection of curtains, prints, signs, primitive furniture, lamps, tart burners, twig lights and much more,” said Paula Reynolds.
For over seven years, the husband and wife team has been working with customers, continuing to change an ever-evolving line of merchandise. The Reynolds have an eye for primitive design, carrying thousands of items to mix and match to suit your decorating taste.
“We have been open since May of 2006 but before that we used to set up a booth for the Christmas season,” said Stephen Reynolds. “We had no plans to open a shop until we set up a small store for Christmas 2005. We did so well that we decided to try it for a couple years to see how it would go. It is now 2013 and we are still here.”
The business continues to grow.
“This year we expanded and now have a primitive room. We now carry primitive lighting, lots of new curtain patterns,” said Paula.
“We try our best to find things our customers request. If we don’t have it, we send them to other shops in the mall or downtown. It’s important to keep the shopping dollars in The County,” said Paula.
“Customer service is important; we offer a bridal registry, layaway and have our own gift certificates, with four employees providing customer service to old and new customers,” continued Stephen.
They absolutely love what they’re doing and hope that it reflects in the store.
“Every time we go on a shopping trip, we try to find new items. We have many repeat customers who can’t wait to see what’s new,” said Paula. “Some of the hottest sellers are twig lights and battery-operated candles.”
Business hours are Monday-Saturday, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Sunday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, call 764-5969.
