Donna Gallant, owner of Aroostook Orthotics and Prosthetics, at 40 North Street in Presque Isle, has announced the hiring of Grady Lewin. Grady is a board certified prosthetist and orthotic fitter. He has located to Presque Isle and has been serving patients throughout The County since his arrival.
Grady first became interested in orthotics and prosthetics when his youngest daughter was run over by a car, at age 5, and almost lost her arm. He then adapted his schooling to enter the field. He worked many years as a certified technician, becoming a certified assistant to orthotist and prosthetist, and then board certified as a prosthetist and orthotic fitter. He fabricates all prosthetics and orthotics in the office, which is accredited by the American Board of Orthotist Prosthetist.
“I have watched Grady in our fabrication room and I am very impressed at his techniques and skills,” stated Gallant.
“I am pleased to welcome Grady to our community and office. He is well-known in our field as an outstanding fabricator and provider. I think he will be a great asset for the patients and hospitals of Aroostook County,” said Gallant.
