New Sweden – Gordon Hjlmar Zetterman, 81 died August 29, 2013, at his New Sweden residence. He was born in New Sweden, June 23, 1932, the son of the late Clifford and Minnie (Landin) Zetterman. He married Elfrida Strid January 9, 1952. Mr. Zetterman was employed as the crew foreman for the town of New Sweden for over 25 years. He also drove truck for Vernon McBreairty for a number of years.
Surviving in addition to his wife of over 61 years, Elfrida of New Sweden, are his four sons and three daughters-in-law, Daniel and Debbie Zetterman of Waterville, and Jerry and Vickie Zetterman, and Frederick Zetterman, all of New Sweden, and Linwood and Cathy Zetterman of Millinocket; three brothers, Clifford Zetterman of Caribou, Ansel Zetterman of Carmel and Carroll Zetterman and his wife Viola of Connor; four sisters, Brenda Morin and signif-icant other Dave Cochran of Woodland, Madeline Dufour and husband Roy of Vermont, Carolyn Stark and husband, Leo of MN, and Marcella Schoville of CT; eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Zetterman was predeceased by a brother, Glen, a sister, Gloria and a grandson, William.
A graveside service will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 6, 2013, at the New Sweden Cemetery. Following the service all are invited to a time of continued fellowship and refreshments with the family at Svea Hall, Gustaf Adolf Lutheran Church. www.mocklerfuneralhome.com
