The money was raised from the 14th annual silent auction held before Christmas as part of the health care facility’s ongoing United Way workplace campaign. Departments of TAMC, both at the hospital and at TAMC’s other facilities, assembled 29 different auction items for the event, which were open for bid during December. Most of the items were themed gift baskets, each containing numerous items. “During my tenure as executive director, which is 14 years, TAMC has been one of our largest supporters. The combined amount raised over those years is nearly $300,000, which has allowed the United Way to invest in our communities through the agencies that we help support,” said Stevens. “In addition we are supported with assistance from TAMC employees helping with events, sponsorships, campaign chair, and a TAMC employee is always a member of our board of directors. I cannot thank TAMC employees enough for the dedication to United Way of Aroostook and the people we serve.” TAMC employees donated nearly $25,000 in total last year to United Way.
